I am on the organising committee for this year’s ALLA Conference, being held in Adelaide 10-12 September. A suggestion has been made to hold a 10x10 (10 powerpoint slides in 10 minutes) series on free legal resources available in each state and territory. It has been pointed out that there is a large array of online free research solutions specific to particular jurisdictions which many people have to learn on the job. Some go undiscovered and can cost libraries - by going to paid services instead or in lost time in discovering them. We still need presenters from WA for these 10-minute presentations. If you are attending this year’s conference and would be interested in presenting a short paper highlighting free resources in your state, I would love to hear from you. You will receive a small discount on your conference registration fee. I hope to see you all in Adelaide soon.
