Federal Register of Legislation - Redevelopment Survey

The Federal Register of Legislation (the Register) is being redeveloped to modernise the website, the technology supporting the website and give greater flexibility for future improvements. The redeveloped Register is scheduled to go live early in 2023. The Register plans to send out a series of updates in the lead up to the launch of the new Register. Each update will highlight an updated feature that will be available on the new Register.  The updates are available from the Regsiter website , with the first being published on 14 October 2002. it includes details of a survey about the current Register and invitations for people to complete the survey.  The survey results will be used as a baseline to assist the Office of Parliamentary Counsel to evaluate the impact of the improvements made to the new Registers.  The survey will be open until 4 November 2022. ALLA eBook Survey

The Australian Law Librarians' Association (ALLA) has put together a survey focusing on eBooks and legal publishers - what you love about them, and what you don't love about them. Responses are due by COB, Monday 14 June 2021 . Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping ALLA's submissions to vendors. Please note - The survey is long, but you can stop at any time and pick up where you left off.  Your responses will be saved as you progress. To get detailed responses, the survey has been organized by publisher, but you don't need to respond to all questions. They are hoping to collect as many responses as possible and are looking forward to all feedback received.  ALLA members can see more information about the survey on the ALLA website, COVID-19 Vendor Response .

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY SURVEY 2018

ALLA(WA) invites Western Australian Law Library professionals to participate in our Employment and Salary Survey for 2018.  The survey will be open from Thursday 22 February and closes Friday 16th March and takes no more than 5 minutes to complete.  In the past, the survey has proven useful to law library professionals in their annual salary negotiations. Please respond to the survey only once unless you work in multiple organizations. Call for participation - international librarianship experiences

Cross-posted from multiple mailing lists Call for participation - international librarianship experiences Lara Seven Phillips (formerly of the University of the South Pacific, Fiji) and Kate Holvoet (currently at Zayed University, in the UAE) are writing a book on librarianship abroad; basically all the things we either learned the hard way or wish someone had told us before we started. It is scheduled to be published in December 2016 by ABC-CLIO/Libraries Unlimited. We are looking to include anecdotes, advice, cautions, lessons learned, etc. from other librarians who have worked abroad. We want to hear from people who work in all areas of librarianship, and at different kinds of libraries. We want our book to reflect a variety of international experiences. Dear colleagues The Australian Committee on Cataloguing (ACOC) seeks your input to assist the Committee to understand the knowledge and experience of practitioners and managers within the Australian library community, to ascertain topics of interest and concern, and to explore ways to build a strong community of practice within the Australian resource description community. ACOC has created a survey seeking feedback from people working in library and information services generally, but particularly from practitioners and managers involved with resource description. The information gathered in this survey will assist ACOC to plan future outreach, events and programs.
