One Audience for Accessibility: How Captions and Audio Description Help Everyone

This week's Curtin Corner Webinar may be of interest to those working in the eLearning space when training their library clients.  From the JCIPP abstract:  The popularity of subscription video on demand platforms during COVID-19 prompted a new era in this form of entertainment. For people with disability, accessibility features such as captions and audio description became more available through the influx of international providers. At the same time, a larger audience also began using these features as part of their lockdown television experience. This presentation reports on research into captions and audio description, and finds that international legislation and audience preference has much wider benefits than might be expected.
