Law Times Reports online

In case you missed it, because I know I did, the Law Times Reports are at HeinOnline in their Law Journal Library. This old law report series is hard to find in print and difficult to copy when found as they are usually bound in large volumes. The coverage at HeinOnline covers the full run of this report which was 1859-1947. Thanks to Sky for the tip.

Union List looking for a new name!

You would have seen in this month's President's Corner that the WA Law Library serial holdings are in the process of going online. First published in 1998 and commonly known as the Union List, we are now looking for a new name to bring it into the new century. So have your say. Get creative and email your suggestions to allawaexec@gmail.com . There is a small prize for the most innovative name* with the winner to be announced at the End of Year Celebration on Wednesday 30th November 2016. A big thank you to FIRST Software Solutions for sponsoring this project. *The name needs to be unique in order to register the domain name.

Historical Commonwealth Gazettes

More recent Commonwealth Gazettes, from October 2012 onwards, can be found at this link https://www.legislation.gov.au/Browse/ByTitle/Gazettes/InForce/0/0/ These more modern gazettes are available as individual notices in a variety of formats. Thanks to the Office of Parliamentary Counsel, in conjunction with National Library of Australia and the Australian Government Solicitor Group in the Attorney Generals Department, for making this possible.
