ALLA National Conference Fellowships for ALLA members are now available!!


Overseas Virtual Law Conferences

ALLA Ltd is offering fellowships for attending selected overseas virtual conferences for law librarians.

In 2021, ALLA Ltd is pleased to offer:

Two fellowships to cover the cost of online registration for each of the overseas conferences below.(Please note the local times of overseas conference program offerings because the sessions may not be recorded for later viewing by conference registrants.)

The Petal Kinder Memorial IALL fellowship, which is funded by the Australian Law Librarian will pay the online registration fee for one ALLA member to attend the 2021 virtual IALL conference.


ALLA National Conference

Our ACT members are eager to welcome you to Canberra from September 22 – 24, 2021.

In 2021, ALLA Ltd is pleased to offer:

  • Five $1000 fellowships to attend the ALLA Conference, which will be held in Canberra from September 22-24, 2021. (Please note it is not intended that the Association cover the whole cost of attending the ALLA conference in Canberra.)

ALLA members would have received an email from Emma Joneshart, President of ALLA Ltd regarding a call for nominations for members to join the ALLA Ltd Board of Directors. Nominations will be voted upon at the ALLA AGM, held on Thursday 23 September during the ALLA Virtual Conference 2021 . Keeping Up With ALLA (WA) News

In March 2023 we announced the  closure of the Allgwa list , and welcomed the arrival of the  ALLA (WA) Google Group .  To take full advantage of the Google Group - particularly the ability to deliver news directly to your inbox - the ALLA (WA) Committee has made the decision to cease posting to the ALLA (WA) Blog.  ALLA (WA) Members are encouraged to join the Google Group to make sure they don’t miss out on key news, events, job opportunities from the committee and our members.  Over the past twelve and a half years we've have over 208636 visitors (and still counting) to the ALLA (WA) Blog, from all over the world. Copyright training 27th July

The Australian Libraries Copyright Committee is offering training sessions in Perth on Monday, 27 July. The sessions are free to to member organisations and their employees - ALIA, NSLA, CAUL, NLA, AGLIN, NAA, CAARA and Aust Soc Archivists ( note: ALLA is not included ).
