ALLA Member PD for July

Our good friends at ALLA Victoria have scheduled another great PD event open to all ALLA members.

From Student to Lawyer: How univeristy libraries are preparing students for real-world legal research

How are university libraries preparing law students for real world research? Are there gaps in graduates’ research skills and knowledge that law librarians should be prepared for? Academic law librarians Caroline Knaggs from Monash University, and Michelle Bendall from Deakin University, will present and discuss the programs run at their institutes to prepare students for legal practice. For a perspective from the other side, we will also hear from law librarian John Guerrato, who will discuss his experience working with graduates in a Victorian law firm.

When: Thursday 14 July 2022 at 11.00am Perth time.

Register via Zoom here. You will need your ALLA Member Number.
