Survey: Australian Committee on Cataloguing

Dear colleagues

The Australian Committee on Cataloguing (ACOC) seeks your input to assist the Committee to understand the knowledge and experience of practitioners and managers within the Australian library community, to ascertain topics of interest and concern, and to explore ways to build a strong community of practice within the Australian resource description community.

ACOC has created a survey seeking feedback from people working in library and information services generally, but particularly from practitioners and managers involved with resource description. The information gathered in this survey will assist ACOC to plan future outreach, events and programs. A summary of the survey results will be posted on the ACOC website:

The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete, and will remain open until COB Monday 8 June.

The survey contains some questions that require an answer, and these questions are prefixed with an asterisk (*).

No personal information is collected as part of this survey.  If you have any questions about this survey, please contact ACOC at nlarda@nla.gov.au.

Curtin University Law School now in the city

Curtin University has opened a new Law School campus in Perth’s Central Business District within an existing 1912 heritage listed building located at 57 Murray Street. Situated in the Perth CBD in close proximity to the Supreme Court, District Court and Perth Magistrate’s Court, as well as statutory tribunals such as the State Administrative Tribunal, the city campus will facilitate student’s education within an applied industry setting in line with Curtin’s primary vision of developing job-ready graduates.
