Library Manager

The Law Institure of Victoria is advertising for a full-time, 12 month contract (with possibility of extention) Library Manager role. 

The Library Manager plays a key role in the design and delivery of the LIV Library’s strategic plan, resources, support and services for LIV members, legal practitioners, LIV staff and the community, with a focus on leading a team of experienced Law Librarians and delivering a high-quality member and user experience. 

The Library Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of library professionals who are responsible for overseeing relevant services and activities across the LIV Library.

This role provides an exciting challenge for an experienced professional to develop and implement a strategic plan that is aligned with the LIV vision and purpose and to oversee library and other learning resources and services, with a focus on the changing needs of practitioners and taking advantage of the opportunities presented by digital resources and platforms.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the critical support and resources to the Victorian legal profession and the broader community.

Legal Heritage Collection Coordinator

The Supreme Court Library Queensland has advertised for a full time permanent Legal Heritage Collection Coordinator role. 

This position is part of the Collections team leading the development, maintenance, and coordination of the legal heritage collection. 

The Legal Heritage Collection Coordinator reports to the Principal Librarian Collections and is responsible for maintaining the curation, preservation, and discovery of the library’s legal heritage collection, curating the annual yearbook, and undertaking research for exhibitions and displays of heritage items.

The sessions are free to to member organisations and their employees - ALIA, NSLA, CAUL, NLA, AGLIN, NAA, CAARA and Aust Soc Archivists ( note: ALLA is not included ).
