De Gruyter has been running an series of workshops on the topic Academic Libraries Reimagined.
On Thursday 19 May the 4th workshop in the series will be on the topic Space Planning in the New Normal.
Even before the pandemic, space issues were a frustratingly common struggle for libraries. And now, as we all prepare to welcome back patrons amid this new normal of pandemic living, re-opening plans have to be carefully crafted. There are no easy considerations. There are no roadmaps. There is only ever-evolving information as research efforts try to keep pace with the spread of the virus.
Speakers include Caroline Williams, University Librarain at the University of Queensland and Foster Zhang, Director of the Library at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Guangzhou.
Luckily for us, the session is a Perth friendly 3.00pm.
Register for the Zoom event here. If you can't make it a recording will be made available on the De Gruyter YouTube channel.
