2015 Survey of Trends in the Global Library and Information Services (LIS) Sector


Robert McEntyre & Associates Pty Limited cordially invites you, your organisation and your colleagues to participate in a short survey (6 questions) on “Trends in the Global Library and Information Services Sector”. 

The link to the survey questions is 2015 Global LIS Sector Survey.

The survey closes at COB Thursday 2 April 2015, Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).

This survey follows on from similar surveys conducted by Robert McEntyre & Associates Pty Limited in both March 2013 and March 2014.

lnformation is being gathered on:

  • The influences on the future success and sustainability of libraries and information services.
  • Proposed or planned: new, different and innovative user services that will be implemented into your library/ information service. 
  • Proposed or planned: new, different and innovative operational and management practices that will be implemented into your library/information service.

A “2015 Trends in the Global Library and Information Services Sector” Information Brief will be prepared from the findings of this survey and will be available free of charge during May 2015. The Information Brief will contain comparisons with the 2013 and 2014 surveys’ findings.

Your responses to this survey will be greatly appreciated.

Keeping Up With ALLA (WA) News

In March 2023 we announced the  closure of the Allgwa list , and welcomed the arrival of the  ALLA (WA) Google Group .  To take full advantage of the Google Group - particularly the ability to deliver news directly to your inbox - the ALLA (WA) Committee has made the decision to cease posting to the ALLA (WA) Blog.  ALLA (WA) Members are encouraged to join the Google Group to make sure they don’t miss out on key news, events, job opportunities from the committee and our members.  Over the past twelve and a half years we've have over 208636 visitors (and still counting) to the ALLA (WA) Blog, from all over the world. The Australian Libraries Copyright Committee is offering training sessions in Perth on Monday, 27 July. The sessions are free to to member organisations and their employees - ALIA, NSLA, CAUL, NLA, AGLIN, NAA, CAARA and Aust Soc Archivists ( note: ALLA is not included ).
